Choi Tsun Kin

Currently a Form 5 student at STFA Yung Yau College and has a deep passion for music. Upon entering the school, he was encouraged by his seniors to join the school's Chinese orchestra, where he played in both the guzheng and percussion sections. Later, he studied under conductor, Rupert Woo Pak Tuen and the school's sectional tutors, deep dived into different musical elements such as tonality, harmony, and orchestration. Before truly engaging in composition, he served as a student conductor in the school orchestra. Throughout his self-taught journey as a conductor, he encountered a wide range of repertoire and became fascinated by how composers create such beautiful pieces. Since then, he began listening to his own inner voice and composed several short pieces. He has now been composing for over a year.
